Lilin Yi, professor of Shanghai Jiaotong University, doctoral supervisor, deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of Regional Optical Fiber Communication Network and New Optical Communication System, and deputy dean of the School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering. Mainly engaged in the research of intelligent optical communication and intelligent fiber laser. He has published more than 100 papers in well-known journals such as Light: Science & Applications, Optica in the field of optoelectronics, including 7 invited papers, and has been cited by SCI for more than 700 times. The work on intelligent mode-locked lasers was rated as the 2019 Global Optics Progress by Optics & Photonics News, a journal of the Optical Society of America, and was selected as one of the 2019 Top Ten Progresses in Chinese Optics. The paper published in Light: Science & Applications was selected as the cover paper and was specially reviewed by the "News & Views" column. Invited lectures at OFC/ECOC, the flagship optical communication conference, for 3 times, and organized workshops at OFC/ECOC for 3 times. Served as a member of OFC TPC (2017-2019), and served as an editorial board member of the SCI journal "Optical Fiber Technology". In 2020, he was approved to be funded by the National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars.
