Personal Profile

Guan Xiaokai is a 2024 undergraduate graduate from the Information Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and has been admitted directly into the Ph.D. under the supervision of Professor Yilin Lin. During his undergraduate period, he ranked 2nd in his major (out of 160 students) and received honors such as Outstanding League Member, the 10th Fan Xuji Scholarship, National Scholarship eligibility, and Shanghai Outstanding Graduate. He organized and participated in multiple practical activities, completed internships at a semiconductor investment company and Huawei Shanghai Research Institute, and won the first prize in the Shanghai Electronic Design Competition.

       In the first year of his Ph.D., he focused on the issue of channel modeling in coherent point-to-multipoint PONs, employing diffusion models as a channel modeling solution. Under multi-ONU channel conditions, the fitting error of the channel was below 0.1 dB. He compiled this work into a journal paper as the first author, which was successfully published in Optics Letters. He also participated in the conclusion of a key research and development project under the Ministry of Science and Technology. Currently, he is responsible for a Huawei project and collaborative projects with other enterprises.
